Freelance Interpreter Required for Public and Private Sector Assignments

We are recruiting freelance interpreters to work with various public and private sector organisations across the UK. Our clients include the NHS, Local Authorities, Police, Probation, and other public and private bodies.

As a freelance interpreter, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of assignments, including face-to-face, telephone, and video interpreting. You will also have the chance to work as a translator, providing written translations for our clients.

To be successful in this role, you will need to be fluent in English and another language, and have the right to work in the UK. You will also need to have formal qualifications in interpreting or translation, such as a Diploma in Public Service Interpreting (DPSI) or a degree in Translation/Interpreting/Languages.

We offer flexible working arrangements to fit around your schedule, and you will have the opportunity to work from the comfort of your own home. You will also have access to ongoing help and support from our dedicated in-house team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpreting for people using legal, health, and local government services
  • Checking the non-English speaker's understanding after each sentence
  • Conference, consecutive, and public service interpreting
  • Dealing with highly confidential information
  • Liaising between the service user and service provider

Requirements:

  • Fluent in English and another language
  • All applicants must have the right to work in the UK
  • You must be aged 21 or over
  • Formal qualifications in interpreting or translation
