We are seeking a motivated Land Manager to join our expanding team in the South Midlands region, which has acquired 1,900+ plots in its initial two and half years of operation. Key Responsibilities:

  • The successful candidate will take the lead in identifying, negotiating, and securing land and development opportunities that align with both short and medium-term goals, ensuring they meet forecasted targets. Key duties include managing the end-to-end process of land acquisition, from initial identification to contract negotiation and completion.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with landowners, agents, housing associations, and institutional partners is essential.
  • The Land Manager will be responsible for leading forward-fund transactions, providing strategic leadership on key acquisitions.
  • Liaising effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders is crucial to ensure smooth communication and coordination throughout the process.

Salary and Benefits:

The estimated salary for this position is £50,000 - £70,000 per annum, depending on experience. The role also includes a comprehensive benefits package, including a generous bonus scheme, pension scheme, and opportunities for professional development.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A minimum of two years' experience of land acquisition in a house building environment or equivalent experience with HA / BTR operator is required.
  • Strong communication, numeracy, report writing, data analysis, IT proficiency (inc MS Excel), negotiation, project management, and presentation skills are essential.
  • A degree in a planning/property related discipline or relevant experience is highly desirable.
  • A good standard of written English is essential, with the ability to meet tight deadlines.

Travel Requirements:

The role involves travel, which requires a full driving licence.
