This is an excellent chance to join a global aerospace and defence organisation as a Senior Mechanical Engineer in Barrow, working within the research and technology team of Weapon Systems UK.

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development of solutions to technical issues, developing design solutions based on customer or internally derived requirements, and reviewing and checking design work and technical reports.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Leading the development of solutions to technical issues as a member of an integrated project team.
  2. Developing design solutions based on customer or internally derived requirements.
  3. Reviewing and checking design work and technical reports.
Job Requirements

To be considered for this position, candidates should have an engineering background in a weapons system or design for military use.

Experience with structural / stress analysis, system control, hydraulic system design, material selection and manufacturing techniques is essential.

Proficiency in CAD software, such as PTC Creo, is also required.
