Warehouse Inventory Coordinator

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Warehouse Inventory Coordinator to join our team at Wincanton. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate records of stock, completing cycle counting and stock discrepancy investigations, and updating systems with relevant data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately record and maintain stock levels to ensure financial exposure and operational efficiency.
  • Complete cycle counting and stock discrepancy investigations to ensure stock accuracy.
  • Update systems with relevant data from operational and pallet transactions.
  • Liaise with customers, hauliers, and internal customers on stock-related issues.
  • Maintain WMS database and schedules to ensure service levels and stock integrity.
  • Provide general administration support to aid the efficient running of operations.
  • Perform other duties as required to fulfill the role.
  • Ensure health and safety of self and others by adhering to safe working practices.
  • Proactively manage stock movement documentation in line with agreed procedures.
  • Attend training courses as required.

Requirements:

  • Effective communication skills at all levels of internal and external customers.
  • Highly flexible, committed, and willing to carry out varied tasks positively and reliably.
  • Possess accuracy skills and ability to carry out tasks with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work as part of a team, providing flexibility and reliability.
  • PC literate, including Microsoft packages to an intermediate level.
  • Familiarity with Manhattan WMS is preferable but not essential.
  • Motivated to work under pressure and meet critical timeliness targets.
  • Ability to multitask and offer excellent and reliable support.
  • Ability to communicate at all levels in both written and verbal forms.
  • Ability to demonstrate commitment, enthusiasm, and flexibility governed by the position.
