Job Title: Sociology Graduate Support Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Sociology Graduate to join our team as a Support Specialist. The successful candidate will work one-on-one with a small group of children between the ages of 11-16 who have a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN), particularly autism and moderate learning difficulties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing individualized support to students with SEN
  • Working collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to create a safe and inclusive learning environment
  • Encouraging positive social interactions and emotional regulation
  • Assisting with lesson planning and implementation

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children with SEN
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude
  • Proactive approach to supporting students
