As a Control Room Team Leader at H&M Group, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our Mechanical Handling Equipment (MHE) in our Distribution Centers (DCs). Your primary responsibility will be to lead and manage the MHE department team, monitoring their performance and implementing improvement opportunities in line with global MHE operating principles and standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Support the day-to-day operation of MHE in the DC, ensuring stable performance and identifying areas for improvement.
- Lead and manage the MHE department team, providing guidance and support to ensure they meet their performance targets.
- Execute MHE maintenance, troubleshoot operational issues, and escalate problems to the Regional Logistics Sales & Ops team as needed.
- Collaborate with the MHE Manager to develop and implement MHE budgets and improvement plans.
- Identify opportunities to improve MHE operations, working closely with DC management and Regional Log. Sales & Ops to implement changes.
- Ensure alignment with regional and global MHE operating principles and standards.
- Support the implementation of new MHE systems and processes, working closely with the Program Management and Test & Roll-out team.
- Provide MHE-related input to operations training, up-skilling the operations training team.
- Support the resolution of implementation issues in close collaboration with the Program Management and Test & Roll-out team.
- Monitor and follow up on external provider contracts.
- Profound expertise in MHE engineering and (semi-) automated DC concepts and operations.
- Sound understanding of technical linkages and functional split between MHE, WCS, and WMS.
- Good understanding of regional and global logistics and MHE standards.
- Ability to understand and apply new system features/updates within a given time frame and knowledge transfer.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to encourage collaboration, co-creation, and people development by empowering others.
- Agile mindset with a positive attitude to change and meaningful growth.
