Technical Coordinator

Map Talent is seeking a highly skilled Technical Coordinator to join our team. As a Technical Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth execution of technical projects from inception to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate technical information, including building design, highways, drainage, utilities, and sustainability, to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Review and approve architect's and engineer's drawings, and manage external consultants to minimize issues and maintain strong working relationships.
  • Monitor the discharge of planning conditions, issue timely construction drawings, and ensure compliance with statutory service companies and local authorities.
  • Liaise with other departments to provide technical assistance and maintain the highest standard of health and safety.
  • Collaborate with the NHBC/LABC on building regulation matters and discharge conditions to ensure regional compliance and enable the sales team to release plots for sale.
  • Prepare and approve conveyance plans, legal plans, and monitor technical specifications to ensure the technical team has the necessary approvals for the sales process.
  • Provide CAD work as required to support the wider technical team.
  • Deputize for the manager as needed, allocating tasks and verifying quality of work to maintain company guidelines.
  • Mentor and train junior team members, developing their skills to take on more responsibility and improve productivity within the region.
  • Provide assistance to the manager on key business decisions and attend regional meetings as the relevant subject expert.

Requirements:

  • Experience working within a residential developer.
  • Ability to produce viability layouts, detailed planning layouts, and other planning application supporting documents.
  • Proficiency in AutoCad and production of working drawings for construction use.
  • HND/HNC or equivalent qualification in construction.
  • Understanding of general design and technical processes, with a reasonable knowledge of building regulations.
  • Full UK driving license.
