Surgical Care Specialist

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Surgical Care Specialist to join our progressive Elective Surgery team at the Royal Bournemouth Hospital. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in caring for patients post-operatively, ensuring that local policy is adhered to, and preparing patients for theatre.
Key responsibilities include admitting and preparing patients for surgery, discharging patients under nurse-led discharge criteria, and contributing to the development of the Day Surgery Service. To succeed in this role, you will require excellent communication skills, a commitment to maintaining high standards of care, and experience within general surgical specialties such as Gynaecology, Vascular, Urology, Breast and Endocrine surgery, Upper GI and Colorectal.
