About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Health and Safety Consultant to join our rapidly expanding national Health and Safety Consultancy. This role will involve delivering high-quality HSE support across various house building sites in the North Thames region, including areas such as St Albans, Biggleswade, Hitchin, Bishops Stortford, and more.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct site inspections and provide hands-on HSE support
  • Prepare thorough, professional health and safety reports
  • Offer technical advice to site management teams
  • Carry out targeted monthly safety checks to ensure compliance
  • Attend and contribute to regular HSE meetings
  • Investigate incidents and accidents, proposing corrective measures
  • Conduct external PC/client inspections
  • Deliver in-house health and safety training for site operatives and management teams
Requirements
  • Experience working in UK construction, particularly house building
  • NEBOSH General/Construction Certificate
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role (preferred)
  • Strong IT skills
  • A UK driving license and willingness to travel, including occasional overnight stays

  • Competitive salary: £45,000 - £50,000
