Phlebotomy Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Phlebotomist to join our team at Dorset County Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. As a Phlebotomist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care by collecting blood samples for laboratory testing.

• Perform venepuncture and cannulation procedures safely and efficiently on patients requiring blood tests.
• Prepare patients for blood collection, ensuring they are comfortable and informed throughout the process.
• Contribute to the efficient running of the phlebotomy service, adhering to Trust policies and procedures.
• Establish a relationship of trust with patients and other staff members, promoting a positive public image of the phlebotomy service.

We are looking for a self-motivated and hardworking individual with excellent communication skills, good manual dexterity, and the ability to work systematically under pressure. Basic IT skills and a degree of manual dexterity are desirable.
