Dilapidations Negotiator

About the Role
This position involves negotiating commercially advantageous terms with landlords and letting agents to reduce costs and manage disputes effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reporting directly to the Team Leader and serving as the first point of contact for landlords and agents
- Building rapport with landlords, letting agents, and colleagues through excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Managing the end-to-end renewal process, conducting market research, and analyzing data to inform decisions
- Investigating dilapidation claims, collaborating with internal teams, and reducing costs in line with industry standards
- Undertaking ad hoc projects and providing support and cover for colleagues and teams within Mears Housing Management
Requirements:
- Confident communicator with strong written and verbal skills, delivering excellent customer service
- Previous experience in customer service, building working relationships with people
- Negotiation skills and high level of accuracy, data entry, and record keeping
- Great investigative skills and organizational abilities
- IT literacy, utilizing various software packages, including Microsoft Office
- GCSE standard education, preferably with a pass grade in Math
