Job Summary

Ardent Consulting Engineers is a leading provider of sustainable development infrastructure solutions. As a key member of our Water Team, you will play a crucial role in managing the design process from inception to construction of new flood alleviation, surface water management projects, and drainage strategies.

With a strong focus on client satisfaction, you will be responsible for leading a small team of modellers and engineers, mentoring and developing their skills, and ensuring the successful delivery of projects.

Key Responsibilities

Manage the day-to-day project management of a small team of modellers and engineers

Lead the conceptual design of flood protection measures and drainage strategies

Assist in the preparation of fee proposals and verify work

Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders

Requirements

Minimum of 5-8 years' experience in flood risk management and drainage design

Strong knowledge of Flood Modeller/ISIS-TUFLOW river modelling software and InfoWorks ICM

Excellent communication and project management skills

Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications

Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent

CEng (MICE or CIWEM) status or equivalent commercial experience and responsibility

Substantial postgraduate experience in flood mitigation design, river modelling, and hydrological analysis
