Life Cycle Assessment Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Life Cycle Assessment Specialist to join our team in the North Europe Grid System Integration (GSI) group at GE Aviation. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing and implementing life cycle assessments for our products and services, focusing on sustainability and environmental impact.
About Our Team:
The GSI team is responsible for delivering turnkey high voltage AC and DC transmission projects to customers in the UK, Ireland, and Scandinavia in a dynamic, international working environment with flexible work agreements and competitive benefits.
Job Description:
The Life Cycle Assessment Specialist will prepare GE GRID GSI LCAs of products, services, customer projects, technologies, and supply chain in accordance with ISO standards, deploy the ECI calculation based on the Netherlands regulation, and establish an Eco-design procedure as part of the NPI process. This role will also involve collaborating with NPI team, Materials Engineering, Sourcing, and Manufacturing to automate life cycle inventories from GE GRID GSI operations and supply chain.
Responsibilities:
- Preparing GE GRID GSI LCAs of products, services, customer projects, technologies, and supply chain in accordance with ISO standards.
- Deploying the ECI calculation based on the Netherlands regulation, using it in the company and for multiple customer projects as a key indicator.
- Establishing an Eco-design procedure as part of the NPI process, implementing tools, dashboards, and KPIs to distill Eco data into actionable insights.
- Collaborating with NPI team, Materials Engineering, Sourcing, and Manufacturing to automate life cycle inventories from GE GRID GSI operations and supply chain.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering, Science, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience in sustainability, including application of life cycle assessment or foot printing methodologies.
- Knowledge of quantification of environmental impacts, environmental science, and issues related to the environment, circular economy, and eco-design.
Salary: £90,000 - £120,000 per annum.
