Job Summary:

Baxter is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Field Service Specialist to join our team. As a Field Service Specialist, you will be responsible for installing, servicing, and maintaining medical equipment and devices supplied by Baxter/Hillrom.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, service, and repair medical equipment and devices distributed by Baxter/Hillrom.
  • Establish and maintain timely customer communications and relationships with key partners, including team members and business units.
  • Report all relevant service activity, ensuring updated and accurate service data in the service system.
  • Responsible for maintaining and documenting assigned calibration equipment.
  • Provide technical support for in-bound calls from customers and patients, detailing the job on the system and undertaking relevant actions.
  • Maintain up-to-date technical competence in assigned products by successfully completing relevant training and development.
  • Be the technical expert and support for customers, account managers, and engineers, including being the technical escalation point for designated product groups.
  • Provide technical feedback into contracts and tender submissions.
  • Review critical metrics regularly and adapt working practices to ensure service levels are maximized.

Requirements:

  • Degree, HNC/HND, or equivalent level qualification in a relevant engineering field (e.g., medical technology, electronic, mechanical).
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good organization and prioritization skills.
  • Good proficiency in Microsoft Office (including Outlook, Excel).
  • Good technical problem-solving skills.
  • In-depth level of practical experience in the relevant technical/engineering discipline with measured KPIs.
  • Demonstrable experience in meeting business-critical timeframes and deadlines.
  • Successful experience in managing and engaging with customers.
  • Good IT knowledge on general connectivity, network integration of devices, wireless protocols, mobile network technologies, software support, and cyber security standards.

Working Conditions:

  • Participating in 24-hour on-call (where required).
  • Lone-working.
  • Frequent and regular travel within the assigned geographical region in the UK/Ireland. May need to travel to other locations in the UK, Ireland, and Europe on an occasional basis - Full UK/Ireland driving license.
