About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Software Developer to join our Core Systems department, where you will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining business-centric data solutions.

As a Software Developer, you will work with a team of technically-minded individuals who are passionate about learning and exploring new technologies. You will be working with Golang and Erlang, and we are looking for someone who is eager to learn and adapt to new technologies.

The day-to-day work is fast-paced and challenging, and you will be working in an environment with high volumes of transactions. You will be responsible for developing low-latency, highly available, and scalable solutions, as well as creating concurrent distributed components.

Main Responsibilities

  • Developing data solutions that meet business requirements
  • Working with Linux and GNU utilities
  • Supporting and enhancing the existing code base
  • Identifying technical areas of improvement
  • Contributing to solution proposals
  • Creating work effort estimates

Requirements

  • Experience with server-side development, including services, systems, messaging, and middleware
  • Experience with functional programming, such as Erlang, Haskell, F#, Scala, or Go
  • Experience with distributed systems
  • Experience with complex event processes and continuous query languages
  • Client and server development experience
  • Ability to problem-solve and communicate effectively
  • Strong academic background, with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in an IT-related discipline or relevant industry experience
