Senior Day Surgery Nurse Leader
About Us:We are seeking an experienced nurse leader to join our Day Surgery team at Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing clinical and professional support to the day surgery team, ensuring effective management and driving change.
Job Description:The role of Senior Day Surgery Nurse Leader is a key position within our trust, and we are looking for a motivated individual who can provide high-quality leadership and guidance to our nursing team. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with surgeons, anaesthetists, and other healthcare professionals.
Main Responsibilities:- Leadership and Management: Provide clinical and professional support to the day surgery team, ensuring effective management and driving change.
- Patient Safety and Quality: Focus on improving patient safety, quality, and experience in day surgery.
- Strategy and Planning: Work closely with the Ward Manager and Matron to develop and implement strategies to improve clinical services in day surgery.
- Nursing Leadership: Provide nursing leadership, set and maintain professional nursing standards, and provide professional nursing advice and direction to colleagues within the division.
The estimated salary for this role is £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience. We offer a range of benefits, including access to continuing education and training opportunities, flexible working hours, and a supportive working environment.
Requirements:To be considered for this role, you must have:
- A degree in Nursing or a related field.
- Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
- Experience in day surgery or a related field.
- Excellent leadership and management skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
