Gazelle Global seeks a skilled Port Health Officer to join our team.

Estimated Salary: £40,000 - £60,000 per annum.

**Job Summary:**

We are looking for an experienced professional to conduct inspections and enforce health regulations across the port, ensuring compliance with national and international legislation.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Conduct inspections to ensure compliance with health regulations
  • Advise on and take enforcement actions in response to port health issues
  • Lead and develop specialized areas within Port Health
  • Represent the Port Health Service in liaising with stakeholders
  • Draft enforcement notices and advise on legal proceedings when necessary

**Requirements:**

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Health recognized by the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health
  • Registered with the EHO Registration Board (EHORB) and a Chartered Member of CIEH
  • Postgraduate qualification relevant to Port Health work, such as Food Safety
  • Extensive knowledge of food and feed controls, public and environmental health legislation, and border control post operations
  • Strong IT skills
  • Experience in Port Health and Environmental Health practices
  • UK driving license
