About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Civil Engineering Instructor to join our team at Study Group. As a key member of our academic staff, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences to our students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver engaging and effective teaching and learning materials and activities.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of innovative teaching practices across the Centre.
  • Participate in regular meetings with teaching and support staff to contribute to the effective overall management of the programmes and the student life cycle.
  • Update and maintain the Virtual Learning Environment (VLE).
  • Engage in scholarly activity to ensure the delivery of modules is current.
  • Implement quality assurance procedures at module level and contribute to the annual monitoring and review of the programme to achieve high standards.
  • Complete sponsor reports and academic reports for students.
  • Undertake teaching, learning and assessment observations and associated staff development plans to assure standards within the subject area.

About You

  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant subject area.
  • Candidates holding a PhD will be particularly welcomed.
  • Experience of teaching in UK higher or further education and preferably a teaching qualification and experience of working with international students.
