Job Title: Engineering ManagerWe are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our Maintenance team at our Severnside Plant. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our conveyor systems and automation equipment.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage maintenance issues and delegate resources to the right skills in the team or external resources as required.
- Provide support to engineering project teams as needed.
- Develop and implement a Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule to ensure full preventative maintenance is carried out.
- Audit and ensure compliance of engineering data systems.
- Optimize equipment according to standard procedure to enhance performance and product quality.
- Manage facilities and develop clear accountability for maintenance material spend.
- Support the installation of new machinery and equipment and develop specifications.
- Undertake continuous training and development of self and team.
- Identify business improvement opportunities within the organization.
- Provide technical expertise to the team.
- Develop, implement, and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) for each area of responsibility.
- Conduct risk assessments of processes and tasks in the department.
- Manage contractors on site to ensure they meet legal and company requirements.
- Ensure the function operates in accordance with health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
- City and Guilds, apprenticeship, HND, HNC, or similar in an engineering-related discipline.
- Completed a level 3 recognized apprenticeship program with a mechanical and/or electrical discipline.
- Minimum IOSH certification.
- Electrical Duty holder certification.
- 18th Edition certification.
