Paralegal - Disease Team Specialist

About the Role
Clyde & Co is seeking a skilled Paralegal to join our Disease Team in Newcastle. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing a caseload of litigated Fast Track and Multi-Track employers' liability and disease liability claims up to a value of £100,000.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing a caseload of complex claims, including drafting of Court documents and instructing Counsel and experts where necessary.
- Assessing liability and quantum, and preparing reports and advice to support the team.
- Negotiating settlement of both liability and quantum, and managing client expectations and SLA requirements.
- Working closely with the team to ensure the smooth operation of the Disease Team.
Essential Skills & Experience
- An undergraduate law degree or equivalent, with previous paralegal experience within personal injury litigation (Defendant or Claimant), ideally with an EL/Disease background.
- A high level of accuracy and attention to detail, with excellent organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
- A professional manner, with the ability to build relationships internally and externally, and a willingness to learn and develop skills/knowledge.
