We are seeking an experienced Data Protection Specialist to join our team at Lloyd Recruitment - East Grinstead. As a Pensions Data Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of sensitive data.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage the full lifecycle of data subject requests, including subject access and erasure requests
  2. Streamline and improve internal documentation for handling data requests
  3. Assist in the development of Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs), Legitimate Interest Assessments (LIAs), and Records of Processing Activities (ROPA)
  4. Support the integration of tools like OneTrust for data management
  5. Contribute to company-wide processes such as Data Protection by Default and by Design
  6. Deliver training and awareness campaigns on data security and compliance
  7. Provide well-considered advice on data protection enquiries
  8. Stay updated with the latest legislative changes by attending industry events and seminars
Requirements:
  1. Strong knowledge of UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018
  2. Experience managing DSARs from start to finish
  3. Relevant data protection qualifications (e.g. UK GDPR Practitioner, CIPP/E, CIPM)
  4. Excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  5. Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
  6. Strong IT skills, ideally with Google Workspace, Adobe Acrobat Pro, or Microsoft Office
Desirable Skills:
  1. Familiarity with ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials, or PCI DSS standards
  2. Experience with information security best practices
