Job Title: Higher Level Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our team in a vibrant school community.

About the Role:

  • Support the classroom teacher in delivering high-quality lessons.
  • Lead small group sessions and provide one-on-one support to students who need extra help.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve student engagement and behaviour.
  • Assist in planning and preparing learning materials.
  • Cover lessons in the absence of the teacher, ensuring continuity of education.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A recognised HLTA qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Strong literacy and numeracy skills, including Maths and English GCSE graded 4 (or equivalent).
  • Experience working with children in an educational setting.
  • The ability to motivate and encourage students.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • An understanding of strategies to support student behaviour and engagement.
