Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Support Worker to join our Paediatric Complex Care team. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality care and support to children and their families in their homes and communities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accompany children and families to school, nursery, hospital appointments, outings, and respite activities during your shift.
  • Provide emotional support and care to children and their families, promoting their physical and emotional well-being.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to develop and implement personalized care plans, ensuring the best possible outcomes for children and families.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
  • Contribute to the development of a positive and supportive team culture, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Experience working with children and/or community care is essential for this role.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including day, evening, weekend, and night shifts, as part of a 24/7 service.
  • Access to a reliable vehicle is required, with travel expenses reimbursed and accommodation provided for stays.
  • Ability to work independently, with direct responsibility for the child's healthcare needs, under the guidance of the team leader and within established protocols and competency structures.
