Lead Drainage Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Lead Drainage Engineer to join our team at Vector Recruitment Solutions Ltd in London. As a key member of our maintenance services provider, you will play a crucial role in delivering comprehensive drainage solutions for domestic and commercial clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Mentor and support junior engineers in resolving technical issues and assisting on larger projects.
  • Respond promptly to emergency and reactive call-outs, addressing drainage issues for a diverse range of clients.
  • Utilize advanced techniques and tools, including High Pressure Water Jetting, Core Cleaning, De-Scaling, and CCTV Surveys equipment, to efficiently resolve drainage problems.
  • Perform basic plumbing works, such as removing toilets and urinals, replacing isolation valves, or toilet components.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in the drainage industry, with a minimum of 5+ years of experience in a drainage environment.
  • Technical competence in utilizing electro-mechanical and CCTV equipment, as well as performing basic plumbing tasks.
  • Full UK driving license with no more than 6 points.
  • Excellent timekeeping and reliability.
  • Ability to approach and resolve issues logically.
Working Hours:
  • Regular hours: Monday to Friday, 8 am - 5 pm.
  • Night shifts: 4 nights a month.
  • Weekends: 1 weekend a month.
  • On-call duty: 1 call-out week every 10 weeks.
Compensation and Benefits:
  • Competitive salary: £40,000 to £45,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
  • Overtime rates: 1/3 additional pay from Monday to Friday.
  • Double-time pay: Available on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
