Job Title: 1 to 1 Teaching Assistant

Job Type: Temporary

Location: St Mellons, Cardiff

Pay: £83.50 (Minimum) per day - 6.5 hours per day

About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and patient Teaching Assistant to provide one-to-one support to a Year 3 student with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). As a 1 to 1 Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in facilitating the student's educational development and creating a supportive and structured learning environment tailored to their needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide dedicated support to the student with ADHD, ensuring their educational development and well-being
  • Facilitate a supportive and structured learning environment, tailored to the student's needs
  • Work collaboratively with the student, teachers, and other support staff to ensure a cohesive and effective support plan
  • Develop and implement strategies to support the student's learning and behavior
  • Communicate effectively with the student, teachers, and parents to ensure a smooth and successful support experience
Requirements:
  • Experience working with children, preferably in a special needs setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Patience, understanding, and a calm demeanor
  • Good understanding of special educational needs and ADHD
  • Ability to provide a range of support to pupils, including academic, emotional, and behavioral support
