Job Title: Senior Technical Architect

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Technical Architect to join our team at Liverpool City Combined Authority. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing end-to-end End-User Computing (EUC) solutions to enhance the digital workplace experience for our organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement EUC solutions to meet the strategic objectives of the council.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to project teams on EUC solutions.
  • Develop and maintain architecture blueprints and collaborate with stakeholders for requirements gathering.
  • Stay informed about the latest Microsoft technologies and industry trends, and assess and audit the EUC environment for security compliance.
  • Work with vendors and partners to integrate third-party solutions and provide training and support to end-users and IT staff.
  • Apply the organization's enterprise architecture framework to ICT strategy development and ensure design activities align with these frameworks.
  • Manage resource allocation efficiently, achieve financial objectives, and drive social value through activities benefiting the council and its communities.
  • Engage in creating practices that contribute to the Council Plan and promote equal opportunities in all work aspects.

Requirements:

  • Highly experienced and accomplished Senior Technical Architect with a focus on Microsoft EUC.
  • Possess a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field along with Microsoft certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate.
  • Extensive experience in Technical Architecture or Design Authority, specifically in designing and implementing Microsoft EUC solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Windows 11, Azure, ITIL frameworks, and experience in cloud computing platforms.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills, capable of working independently and as part of a team.
  • Highly motivated with a focus on customer satisfaction, solution delivery, and business improvement, aligned with Liverpool City Council's Vision and Values.
  • Desirably, have experience in a public sector or local government environment.
