Contract Manager Job Description

About Our Client

Project Start Recruitment Solutions is seeking a skilled Contract Manager to join our dynamic team. Our client has been a trusted provider of building support services to local authorities, social landlords, NHS trusts, and private sector clients for over 40 years.

Job Summary

We are looking for a Contract Manager to oversee and manage reactive repairs, preventative planned maintenance programs, installations, and special projects across various contracts within the CCTV, Access Control, and Warden Call Department.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Manage and monitor the performance of specialist contractors.
  2. Plan and coordinate direct labour to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  3. Update program works, and prepare performance and status reports.
  4. Develop commercial awareness and lead improvements in PPM and testing regimes.
  5. Ensure health and safety compliance by managing risks associated with subcontractors, specialist contractors, and direct labour, including preparing risk assessments and method statements.
  6. Prepare financial budgets, manage variations, and submit applications for payments.
  7. Proficient in preparing performance reports and charts.
  8. Training in Asbestos Awareness and experience managing health and safety risks.
  9. Skilled in conducting Health and Safety Risk Assessments, producing Method Statements, and delivering toolbox talks.
  10. Experience in the Access Control/CCTV sector.
  11. Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  12. HNC/BSC in Construction Management or equivalent qualification.
  13. Quantity surveying experience.
  14. Full UK Driving Licence.
