Beeby Anderson Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Services Professional to join our award-winning engineering consultancy. As a key member of our team, you will contribute to delivering innovative solutions to complex building services challenges.

About the Role:
  • This is an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned Electrical Design Engineer Specialist to lead electrical services design on large projects and overall MEP on small to medium-sized projects within the office.
  • You will work closely with clients, project managers, managing agents, and contractors to develop and produce reports, specifications, and guidance, as well as oversee testing and commissioning activities.
  • Your expertise will be invaluable in providing technical advice on the operation of electrical/mechanical engineering services in existing buildings.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver refurbishment and upgrade projects from inception to completion.
  • Undertake condition surveys of electrical/mechanical installations and produce written reports and recommendations.
  • Develop and produce electrical/mechanical designs and specifications, ensuring quality and technical standards are met.
  • Produce Feasibility Studies for electrical/mechanical infrastructure replacement or upgrade.
  • Review development and fit-out proposals and advise clients on implications related to electrical/mechanical services.
  • Manage and prioritize workload of project teams, including specialist groups.
  • Host and chair internal project team meetings.
  • Contribute to professional development of individual team members.
Requirements:
  • Excellent technical knowledge in Electrical Design Engineering with thorough understanding of Building Services Engineering and interdisciplinary design through all stages of the design process.
  • Good experience in use of standards and codes applied in building services.
  • Ability to undertake MEP building services surveys with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to peer review in detail with good level of background knowledge of regulatory/standards documentation.
  • Acquainted with and can deliver parallel projects of all types, sizes, and through various RIBA stages.
  • Can undertake essential calculations, maximum demands, typical Wm2, and apply electrical theory.
  • At least some experience working on projects in existing buildings.
  • Ability to develop good relationships with Clients, Project Managers, Managing Agents, and Contractors.
