Bayesian Analyst Role at Warwick

We are seeking a talented Bayesian analyst to join our team at the Department of Statistics, Warwick. This role is part of a rolling programme arising from University investment in CRiSM, a research centre which acts as a catalyst for research across the breadth of the Department of Statistics.

About Us:

The Department of Statistics has a strong reputation for research excellence in Statistics and Data Science. Our departmental research spans a broad range of areas including applied, computational, methodological and theoretical statistics, data science, machine learning, theoretical and applied probability, finance and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Job Description:

This 3-year research fellowship is designed to allow an outstanding early-career academic to develop their own high-quality research programme, with mentoring provided by Warwick colleagues. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the Department's research environment through their own research and collaborations.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and lead high-quality research projects
  • Engage with industry partners and collaborate with other departments
  • Publish research findings in top-tier journals

Requirements:

A PhD in Statistics or a related field is essential. We are looking for individuals with a strong track record of research excellence and a passion for Bayesian analysis. A proven ability to communicate complex ideas effectively is also required.

Benefits:

This role offers a competitive salary of £40,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to the salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package including a generous pension scheme and access to state-of-the-art research facilities.
