The University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust is seeking a highly skilled Gastroenterology Specialist to join their dynamic team as part of service expansion.

The successful appointee will work alongside 16 substantive Gastroenterology Consultants in delivering high-quality inpatient and outpatient provision of Gastroenterology and Hepatology services to the trust. The ideal candidate will have established foundations in gastroenterology and endoscopy, and share expertise in supporting and developing a forward-thinking service.

The post-holder will participate in the Gastroenterology Consultant on-call, including out-of-hours GI bleed on-call, and support the delivery of weekend endoscopy lists as necessary. There is no general medical on-call commitment.

Main duties include:

  • Participating in the Gastroenterology Consultant on-call, including out-of-hours GI bleed on-call
  • Supporting the delivery of weekend endoscopy lists
  • Working with the existing 16 substantive Gastroenterology Consultants in delivering high-quality inpatient and outpatient provision of Gastroenterology and Hepatology services
