About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated HR/Payroll Assistant to join our team at VEA Telecoms Ltd in Manchester.

Key Responsibilities
  • Timesheet Management:
  • Collect and manage employee timesheets to ensure accuracy and timeliness
  • Work with project managers to resolve any discrepancies
  • Vehicle Maintenance Reports & Licence Checks:
  • Manage company vehicle maintenance schedules and ensure documentation is up to date
  • Perform regular driving licence checks for employees who operate company vehicles
  • Internal Payroll Administration:
  • Process payrolls accurately and efficiently
  • Liaise with the Finance Director to ensure timely payment of wages and benefits
  • Pre-screening of Candidates:
  • Assist in the recruitment process by pre-screening CVs and applications for new roles
  • Coordinate interviews and support the HR Manager with recruitment tasks
  • General HR Support:
  • Provide administrative support to the HR Manager
  • Maintain employee records, ensuring compliance with company policies
  • Help with onboarding new employees and other HR-related duties as required
Requirements
  • Essential:
  • Strong administrative skills and attention to detail
  • Experience with timesheets and payroll systems
  • Basic understanding of HR procedures and recruitment processes
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
