Literacy Visionary

Salary: £55,000 - £70,000 per annum

Are you a literacy visionary with a passion for inspiring students to become lifelong learners? Do you have a proven track record in leading English departments and mentoring teachers to deliver outstanding lessons?

We are seeking an exceptional Literacy Visionary to join our team at Wayman Learning Trust. As a key member of our senior leadership team, you will be responsible for shaping the future of English education in Redbridge.

Responsibilities include:

• Designing and delivering high-quality English programs that cater to the needs of all learners
• Mentoring and coaching teachers to ensure they have the skills and confidence to deliver outstanding English lessons
• Leading departmental meetings and contributing to whole-school decision-making processes

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A proven track record as a Head of English or senior leader in English
• Holds a QTS and a degree in English or a related subject
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire colleagues
• A deep understanding of the English curriculum and its implementation
