We are seeking a skilled PSV Engineer to join our team at Arriva Cymru Limited, based at our Chester Depot.

As a PSV Engineer, your role will involve carrying out planned and preventative maintenance, diagnostic fault finding, and reactive repairs to a fleet of commercially operated buses and coaches, adhering to the strict standards set by Arriva and the DVSA.

  • Competitive hourly rate of £17.30
  • Full-time, permanent contract with 38 hours per week - Rotating Shifts
  • Overtime paid at 1.5x (£25.50/h) Monday-Saturday & 2x (£34.00) Sunday
  • On-call retainer £19.27 p/day Monday to Friday & £27.46 p/day Saturday – Sunday

The role will involve:
Servicing, maintenance, and repairs to Arriva and DVSA standards
Continuous improvement of vehicle reliability
MOT preparation, planned preventative maintenance campaigns, and quality checks
Vehicle fault diagnosis and ensuring reliability and maintenance is kept to Arriva Standards (Higher than DVSA)
Attending roadside breakdowns

Requirements:
Qualifications for PSV/HGV maintenance and repair - Minimum of NVQ level 3 or any equivalent international qualification (will require confirmation)
A full UK driving licence (6 points or less)
Ability to be passed fit for a PCV pre-employment medical
