About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Project Manager to cover maternity leave. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering three established projects: Stepping Up, Change Direction, and Woodsmith Achieve. These initiatives focus on providing mentoring services to young people, utilizing trained athletes to work one-on-one.

In addition to managing these projects, you will develop and maintain relationships with partners such as the police, local schools, youth justice, and other youth services. Your role will involve gathering and reporting data from the projects, highlighting the impact of our work through case studies and championing safeguarding standards, equality, diversity, and inclusion.

The successful candidate will have experience working with young people, understanding the value of youth voice and the challenges facing young people. A strong focus on project management, finance, and building relationships is essential. You will also undergo a DBS check due to your access to children.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage multiple projects, prioritizing tasks and deadlines
  • Maintain and develop relationships with partners and stakeholders
  • Gather and report data from projects, showcasing their impact
  • Champion safeguarding standards, equality, diversity, and inclusion

Requirements:

  • Experience working with young people and understanding their needs
  • Strong project management skills, including finance and relationship-building
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Salary: The estimated salary for this position is £40,000-£55,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications. This figure reflects the cost of living in Harrogate and the level of responsibility associated with the role.
