Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, Goodwood Technical Planning Intern

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Technical Planning Intern at the Interior Trim Centre. This 13-month placement will provide you with the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic and innovative environment.
About the RoleAs a Technical Planning Intern, you will be responsible for establishing a Lean Manufacturing Environment, applying the company's own VPS/CIP principles to reduce the 7 Wastes of Lean Manufacturing. You will also be involved in optimising assembly sequences, including line balancing to improve Health & Safety and environmental implications as well as increased efficiency.
Key Responsibilities- Establishing a Lean Manufacturing Environment
- Optimisation of assembly sequences
- Identification, procurement and installation of specialised tooling and key equipment
- Scenario planning to create the future production system
- Realisation planning for shutdowns
- Manufacturing feasibility and realisation of design and engineering requirements
- Manage the introduction of new materials and processes
- Studying a Bachelor's or integrated Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Industrial Engineering or relevant course
- Experienced with Microsoft Office
- Fluent in English; working knowledge of German would be beneficial
- Excellent team spirit and communication skills
- Autodidactic ability of learning new methods and software applications
We offer a competitive annual salary of £25,300, 27 days holiday per annum (pro rata to your contract) and an attractive pension scheme.
