**Job Summary**
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Workshop Engineer to join our team at our Lomondgate site. As a Mechanical Workshop Engineer, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of diesel generators, load testing, and major engine repairs.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Fault finding and repair of diesel generators
- Load testing of generators KVA
- Major engine repairs and overhauls
- Assessing genset condition on returning fleet to SRC
- Modification and upgrades to genset fleet
- Knowledge of AC/DC electrical systems
- Knowledge of engine ECM programming and diagnostics
- Programming of control modules
**Requirements**
- Education to NVQ level 3 (or equivalent) in an engineering or mechanical subject
- Experience in servicing and repairing large engines (generators, HGV, plant equipment, agricultural machinery)
- Good organisational and communication skills
- Good level of PC literacy, including basic MS Office applications
- Well organised and capable of keeping vehicle to GSCS standards
