Job Title: Accounts Receivable and Banking Officer

Red Snapper Recruitment is seeking a skilled Accounts Receivable and Banking Officer to join our client's team in Staffordshire. As a key member of the finance team, you will be responsible for ensuring timely invoice processing, effective debt recovery, and accurate transaction allocation within the ledger.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process transactions on the bank statement and allocate them within the ledger in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Maintain a strong working relationship with the bank to facilitate efficient transaction investigation and resolution.
  • Oversee the accounts receivable ledger to ensure robustness in all ledger balances and identify areas for improvement.
  • Manage the sales ledger, ensuring invoices are raised in a timely and accurate manner, and maintain accurate records.
  • Administer debt collection arrangements in line with the debt collection policy and procedure.
  • Prepare monthly aged debtor reports with relevant commentary to inform business decisions.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in the same role is essential.
  • Proficiency in Excel is required to analyze and manage financial data.
  • Ability to interpret organizational policies and procedures to ensure compliance.
  • Understanding of banking systems and relevant transaction flows.
  • Knowledge of sales ledger and debt recovery procedures.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide high-quality, customer-focused financial services.
