Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Compliance Assistant Manager to join our corporate finance team in Edinburgh. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with the Head of International Tax in London to support tax compliance and related accounting responsibilities for Verisk's non-US operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Statutory Account Tax Provisions: Prepare tax provisions for UK companies, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Indirect Tax Compliance: Support with VAT and GST compliance for EMEA and APAC countries, including data preparation, return reviews, and reconciliations.
  • Corporate Tax Compliance: Assist with corporation tax compliance for non-US countries, including data preparation, return reviews, and payment management.
  • Employment Tax Filings: Support with the preparation of the UK PAYE Settlement Agreement return and other employment tax filings as needed.
  • Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to the Tax department as required, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need a strong grasp of accounting concepts, experience with VAT and Corporate Tax compliance, and some exposure to tax accounting. You will also have excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
