Senior Quantum Scientist Position

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Quantum Scientist to lead our team in the development of cutting-edge Quantum Computing (QC) approaches. As a key member of our High-Performance Computing Group, you will be responsible for leading the development and application of emerging quantum algorithms.

This role requires collaboration with academics, supervising and steering collaborative work to develop algorithms on both simulators and advanced hardware platforms. You will also engage with application teams to understand requirements and facilitate future adoption of the algorithms.

The successful candidate will possess a Postgraduate degree in Physics or a related subject with a focus on computational science. Key skills include:

  • Nuclear or Electron shell modelling
  • Fermion-Qubit Mappings
  • Fault-Tolerant Algorithms

A salary of £100,000 - £140,000 per annum is offered, along with a range of benefits including flexible working arrangements, a relocation package, and access to savings on everyday spending.
