About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Residential Support Worker to join our team at Kent County Council's Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children's Service. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing care and support to newly arrived unaccompanied asylum-seeking children in Kent.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage routines and provide support to young people in a residential setting
  • Set goals and facilitate a learning culture in the centre
  • Work across a rolling shift pattern, with weekly alternating shifts, and regular cover over weekends

Our Offer

  • Full induction and training
  • Basic salary of between £26,515 and £28,850 per annum
  • Annual leave allowance of 27 days (29 days after 5 years service)
  • Relocation packages up to £8,000
  • Excellent local government pension scheme

Requirements

  • Experience of working with children and young people
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
  • Full UK driving licence (or willingness to learn)
