Maternity Support Worker

About the Role
The NHS is seeking a highly motivated and caring individual to join their team as a Maternity Support Worker. This part-time role will provide an opportunity to work closely with midwives and healthcare professionals in supporting pregnant women and new mothers.
Main Responsibilities
- Support registered midwives and medical practitioners in providing care to women using maternity services.
- Carry out direct care duties under guidance, including assisting with antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care.
- Provide advice on healthy lifestyle choices, such as smoking cessation, diet, and breastfeeding.
Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification.
- GCSE Grade C or above in English and Maths or equivalent qualification.
- Experience of working in a healthcare environment and ability to communicate effectively with patients and colleagues.

Salary and Benefits
£24,071 - £25,674 per annum (pro rata for part-time) plus benefits.
