Veterinary Nurse

At GLG Vets, we are seeking a skilled and adaptable Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) to join our team on an ongoing locum basis. This position offers flexibility and a competitive hourly rate commensurate with experience.
About the RoleThis is a 5-day per week role, with the possibility of reducing to 4 days if needed. The successful candidate will be required to work various shifts within the stated hours, including early morning and late evening shifts. No weekend work is required, ensuring a good work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality nursing care, including monitoring, treatments, and assisting with medical and surgical procedures.
- Ensure the well-being of all patients by maintaining clean and comfortable accommodations.
- Assist in diagnostic procedures, including preparation and maintenance of equipment.
- Administer medications as prescribed by the veterinarian and maintain accurate patient records.
- Communicate effectively with clients, providing education and support on the health and care of their pets.
- Work collaboratively with the veterinary team to ensure a high standard of care and efficiency.
- Qualified Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) with current registration, or eligible for registration, with the RCVS.
- Strong clinical skills and experience in a veterinary practice.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Flexibility to work various shifts within the stated hours.
- A competitive hourly rate of £25-30 per hour, commensurate with experience.
