At GLG Vets, we are seeking a skilled and adaptable Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) to join our team on an ongoing locum basis. This position offers flexibility and a competitive hourly rate commensurate with experience.

About the Role

This is a 5-day per week role, with the possibility of reducing to 4 days if needed. The successful candidate will be required to work various shifts within the stated hours, including early morning and late evening shifts. No weekend work is required, ensuring a good work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality nursing care, including monitoring, treatments, and assisting with medical and surgical procedures.
  • Ensure the well-being of all patients by maintaining clean and comfortable accommodations.
  • Assist in diagnostic procedures, including preparation and maintenance of equipment.
  • Administer medications as prescribed by the veterinarian and maintain accurate patient records.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, providing education and support on the health and care of their pets.
  • Work collaboratively with the veterinary team to ensure a high standard of care and efficiency.
Requirements
  • Qualified Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) with current registration, or eligible for registration, with the RCVS.
  • Strong clinical skills and experience in a veterinary practice.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts within the stated hours.
