About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Workforce Officer to join our People and OD Directorate. The successful candidate will provide high-quality administration support to the Operational HR team, ensuring the delivery of a professional, expert, and specialist HR service to the Trust.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive customer service to staff and managers, offering advice and guidance on workforce queries, policies, and procedures.
  • Respond to operational workforce queries using various methods.
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with stakeholders across the Trust, working closely with payroll and recruitment services.
  • Support managers with proactive management of sickness absence queries and cases.
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of contractual variations.

Person Specification

Essential

  • Level 3 Certificate in Human Resources Practice or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of workforce procedures relevant to the role.
  • Understanding of relevant policy, legislation, and their application to the service area.

Desirable

  • Knowledge of NHS systems and structures.
