About the Role

Macklin Care Homes Limited is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Activities Coordinator to join our team at Milesian Manor in Magherafelt. As a key member of our award-winning team, you will play a vital role in creating a stimulating and engaging activity program for our residents, enhancing their quality of life and promoting their well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver a variety of activities and events that cater to the diverse interests and needs of our residents, including arts and drama-related activities.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure a seamless delivery of activities and events, promoting a sense of community and social interaction among residents.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with residents, their families, and external partners to ensure a comprehensive understanding of their needs and preferences.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of our care home's activity program, ensuring it aligns with our values and objectives.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of activities and events, making recommendations for improvement and ensuring a high standard of quality.

Requirements
  • A good command of written and spoken English.
  • Relevant vocational qualifications or experience working with elderly residents, particularly those with dementia.
  • A passion for arts and drama-related activities and a willingness to learn and develop new skills.
  • Ability to work set hours, with flexibility to meet the needs of the organisation.
  • Enhanced Access NI Check required for this post.
