Job Title: Human Resources Director

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Human Resources Director to join our team at the Office for Nuclear Regulation. As a key member of our senior leadership team, you will be responsible for leading the Human Resources Directorate and providing expert guidance to our Chief Executive and Board on people-related issues.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the Human Resources Directorate and provide strategic direction on people-related issues.
  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures that align with our organisational goals.
  • Provide advice and guidance to our senior leadership team on HR matters.
  • Lead on diversity and inclusion initiatives and ensure that our organisation is a great place to work.
  • Manage the HR budget and ensure that we are getting the best value for money.
  • Develop and implement training and development programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of our staff.
  • Lead on change management initiatives and ensure that our organisation is adaptable and responsive to change.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in a senior HR role, preferably in a regulatory or public sector organisation.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and implement HR strategies that align with our organisational goals.
  • Knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritise multiple tasks and projects.
