About the Role:

Venn Group is seeking an experienced Major Donors Lead to join their team in London. As a key member of the Philanthropy and Fundraising department, you will be responsible for developing and executing a 5-year strategy to increase major donor income and secure multi-year donations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy to grow major donor income, focusing on securing significant donations and nurturing long-term relationships with donors.
  2. Build and maintain relationships with potential supporters and influencers, identifying new prospects aligned with the charity's values and goals.
  3. Manage a portfolio of donors across the UK and Ireland, making strategic donation requests and tailoring proposals for projects, programs, and unrestricted funding.
  4. Design and implement personalized stewardship programs to nurture long-term donor relationships and ensure donors feel valued and engaged.
  5. Lead a team of 6 fundraisers and oversee an income of approximately £2m, ensuring effective management of expenditure and budgeting.
  6. Monitor and report income, ensuring compliance with regulations and legislation, such as GDPR, and maintaining best practices in fundraising.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  1. Extensive experience in major donor fundraising, with a proven track record of securing significant donations and increasing income streams.
  2. Strong relationship management and emotional intelligence, with the ability to effectively engage senior donors and stakeholders.
  3. Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to influence and foster collaborative relationships.
  4. Skilled team leader with experience in building and leading high-performing teams.

This is a permanent, hybrid role with a salary of £52,000-55,000 per annum, plus an excellent benefits package. Venn Group is an equal opportunities employer and welcomes applications from all candidates.
