Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Administrator to join our team in Plymouth. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in bookkeeping and be able to process sales invoices, receipts, and payments, as well as prepare client VAT returns and maintain accurate software records.

Responsibilities and Requirements
  • Process sales invoices, receipts, and payments with high accuracy
  • Prepare client VAT returns in line with UK regulations
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date software records for clients
  • Reconcile bank accounts for clients to ensure financial accuracy
  • Review VAT returns prepared by junior staff to ensure compliance and quality
  • Train clients on bookkeeping software to enhance their accounting capabilities

The successful candidate will have a strong background in bookkeeping, with experience working with sales and purchase ledgers, as well as knowledge of bank reconciliation processes on different software.

A working knowledge of Xero, Sage One, Sage 50, and Quickbooks online is essential for this role, as is excellent communication and organizational skills. In terms of qualifications, we require a minimum of [Salary Range: £20,000 - £26,000] per annum depending on experience, plus benefits.
