Senior Applications Engineer

Cook Compression, a renowned leader in the Energy Resources industry, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Applications Engineer to join their team in Ellesmere Port, Cheshire. As a key member of the engineering group, you will be responsible for bringing together engineering and design content for customer proposals and work orders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyzing product designs using Dover Precision Components tools and practices, interpreting results, and determining optimum solutions for customers' requirements.
- Supporting the development of advanced analysis techniques, such as FEA, CFD, and rotordynamics.
- Interpreting designs, assisting designers, performing engineering calculations, examining specifications, and expediting engineering changes.
- Accountable for the successful completion of engineering projects.
- Assisting in the preparation of engineering project proposals.
- Participating in client/contractor meetings and resolving client/engineering and management project issues.
- Ensuring effective liaison within the Engineering group to maintain high engineering standards and drive product development.
- Supporting engineering process development and design for manufacturability efforts.
- Leading training seminars at customer and/or internal sites as needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Over 7 years of experience in an engineered product manufacturing environment for industrial-level rotating or reciprocating equipment.
- Strong relationship building and communication skills, with the ability to present to and interface with customers continually.
- Familiarity with 3D AutoCAD and strong general IT skills.
- A thorough understanding of engineering principles and design practices.
- Demonstrated ability to create ideas and develop solutions, overcoming challenges to meet customer expectations.
