Job Title: Associate Director of Planning

Job Summary:

Talent Torch is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Associate Director of Planning to join our team. As a key member of our Planning and Environmental Services department, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating planning applications and Environmental Impact Assessments for various developments, including renewable energy, industrial, and agricultural projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate planning applications and Environmental Impact Assessments for various developments
  • Develop and maintain relationships with Local Authorities and Clients to manage projects through the planning process
  • Work collaboratively with the wider team to ensure successful applications and project delivery
  • Generate and maintain a portfolio of projects and clients, as well as support colleagues with their workloads
  • Prepare and submit high-quality, accurate reports and fee proposals

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3+ years' experience within a Planning or Environmental Consultancy
  • Relevant Degree/Masters qualification
  • Ability to produce high-quality, accurate reports
  • Experience of Environmental Impact Assessment process
  • Experience of fee proposal/quotation preparation
  • Attention to detail and good organisational skills
  • High level written language skills
  • Driving Licence
  • Access to own vehicle

Desirable Criteria:

  • Member of RTPI or IEMA
  • Experience of ArcGIS
  • Experience of AutoCAD
