Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity for experienced Sonographers who are committed to providing high-quality patient care in a dynamic department. • Providing a high-quality, efficient, and effective ultrasound service, comprising unsupervised scanning sessions to the people of East Suffolk and North Essex.
  • Working as an independent practitioner within your scope of practice, performing scans to a high diagnostic standard, prioritizing workload, formulating comprehensive and accurate reports, and communicating results via agreed methods to clinicians/patients.
  • Contributing to the training and supervision of staff and students within the Ultrasound Unit, safely using all ultrasound equipment, resolving first-line problems, recording equipment faults, reporting issues, and liaising with engineers.
About Us

We are ESNEFT, a leading NHS organisation providing hospital and community health services to almost one million people across east Suffolk and north Essex. Our dedicated staff deliver care from acute hospitals, community hospitals, surgeries, community clinics, and patients' own homes.

What We Offer
  • A competitive salary of £38,694 - £44,503 per annum, depending on experience.
  • A wide range of training and development opportunities, flexible working options, and a generous pension scheme.
  • Unsocial hours payments (where applicable), 27 days annual leave on commencement (pro rata), and access to a range of NHS discounts.
  • A Staff Health and Wellbeing programme offering a variety of services, including Time Matters, which aims to improve the things we do and remove those causing time delays for staff and patients.
